Doles Orchard is a small family farm in southern Maine. Earl, Nancy and their daughter, Emily, have been focusing on pick-your-own fruit for almost twenty-five years. They fell in to making Allagash Brewing’s House Beer 24 case wooden crate after selling the brewery tart cherries in their handmade apple boxes. The crates have been a great addition to the offerings at Allagash’s Tasting Room, selling approx. 6,000 boxes in less than 3 years!

 

After expanding our small “hobby shop” into an efficient woodworking shop, we decided it was time to expand our new business. In order to make and customize boxes for a large range of business needs and styles, we decided that it was necessary to invest in a laser machine – that would enable us to customize our work and create small orders without the added expense, and limited range of wood burning brands. (Branding is still available.)
